De manera accidental, Lila Belén Guerrero Peña, de 22 años, perdió la vida, al momento que se encontraba reunida con un grupo de jóvenes a las afueras de su residencia ubicada en la calle 3 de la comunidad Gloria de Lara I, en la vía a El Rayo, en Sarare, municipio Simón Planas.
Quizá lo más trágico de la muerte de Guerrero es que su hija de 7 años fue testigo presencial de su asesinato.
La dama recibió un disparo en la cabeza de manos de un joven de la comunidad que manipulaba un arma.
Según versiones del portal El Impulso, de la casa ubicada frente a la de Guerrero, salió un sujeto conocido como “Chupa Rata”, quien había estado preso y desde hace un mes está en la comunidad.
Este hombre salió con un arma de fuego con la que presumía ante los jóvenes que allí se encontraban, él disparó hacia el aire y no detonó.
Luego de esto, el sujeto les pasó a los muchachos para que la vieran y un joven agarró la escopeta pero al manipularla la accionó de forma accidental, por lo que hirió mortalmente a Guerrero quien cayó sobre su hija.
Guerrero ingresó a un centro asistencial una hora después de lo ocurrido, pero ya no tenía signos vitales. Se pudo conocer que el joven quien dio muerte a Guerrero, se entregó ante las autoridades competentes.
