El siniestro se produjo pasadas las 6:00 de la tarde al caer un rayo en un tanque de crudo en el sector K15 de Mene Grande, municipio Baralt en la Costa Oriental del estado Zulia.
En este momento, hay una amplia movilización de Bomberos de Pdvsa, así como del municipio Baralt y se espera apoyo de municipios vecinos.
