El CEO de FOX, Charlie Collier, informó que los premios Emmy no tendrán un maestro de ceremonias en la gala de 2019, siendo de alguna forma «cónsono» con lo que sucedió en los Oscar a finales del mes de febrero.

De acuerdo al portal Entertainment Weekly, los números de transmisión en los Premios de la Academia mejoraron en un 12% y fue bien visto por la crítica.

Es la primera vez desde 2003 que los Emmy no tienen la figura de maestro de ceremonias.

Collier indicó que es un año único para muchos programas.

Se cumplen 30 años de «Seinfield» y 25 años de «ER» y «Friends». Además, quieren hacer un reconocimiento al próximo 30 aniversario de «Beverly Hills 90210», quizás en memoria de Luke Perry.

La gala se realizará el 22 de septiembre de 2019 en el Microsoft Theatre de Los Ángeles, revela el portal Simple Vista.
