Recientemente fue nombrado como nuevo Coordinador o Jefe del Redip-Los Andes el Comisario General del Cicpc Darwin Linares, con larga trayectoria regresa a las tierras andinas a coordinar a los estados Táchira, Mérida y Trujillo, con acción en zonas limítrofes de estados vecinos.

El nuevo jefe espera lograr además de un incremento en la seguridad ciudadana, el desmantelamiento de las bandas organizadas, que mantienen en zozobra a la comunidad. Recordemos que hace unos años él se encontraba liderando el CICPC de la ciudad de Valera, en el estado Trujillo, obteniendo excelentes críticas a su labor.

Además el funcionario hizo un llamado a la ciudadanía a no dejarse amedrentar por los delincuentes y denunciar sin miedo, para que la ley pueda ejecutar su trabajo en pro de la población.
